Like, it was the only logical outcome from a story-telling perspective that Bitty would be captain his 4th year, but it still hit me right in the heart.
And UNANIMOUS! Like, it’s obvious that his core group of friends would vote for him, but something about Ollie and Wicks doing their classic fistbump in the background just gets me. Like… bitty had this impact on so many people on his team?? They all trust his skills as a player and as a leader so much??? And this was a boy who almost quit his first month because he didn’t think he had what it took to even BE on the team???
And “his boys” have so much faith that he’s the right man for the job, just… my little heart can’t take it!
Ok so I got inspried by a post from @onethousandroaches where they mentioned the smh team and a buzzfeed quiz so I spent a few hours making this. I’m definitely, probably going to make more in the future. It was tons of fun but I like when there’s a lot of options, which is why it took me so long lol.

It may have been said before, but this is the one that throws the whole thing into sharp relief for me. I mean, I probably should have known from his first appearance.

mmkay so in this incredibly self indulgent au (be warned, this gets kinda long):
-shitty and jack still went to samwell together, but no one else did
-fast forward roughly five years post-graduation. shitty, after deciding law school was doing nothing but making him miserable, dropped out and went into entertainment
-he worked himself up from an internship with abc to minor hosting gigs to eventually taking over as the host of the bachelor every monday night. he goes by his real name on the show, but weirdly enough the audio always seems to cut out when he introduces himself
-unfortunately, the year after shitty takes over, ratings for the show were dropping significantly
-”how can we get ratings back up?” asks abc executive number #1
