I love how happy and squishy-faced your Courfeyrac is! Awwww his EYES. XD And Combeferre with his legs pull up all close!

WHERE DID THEY GET THE SWEATER THOUGH, that’s the question!

Joly and Bossuet knitted it. Joly advised Bossuet that knitting would be a soothing habit to occupy the hands and clear the brain, so Combeferre taught them some basic stitches, and Enjolras added a few encouraging words about self-sufficiency, so now Joly and Bossuet knit whenever they have study time. And in the café. And at the Corinthe. They’d probably knit during lectures if they could get away with it…

So people keep giving them spare wool, and the wool all goes into this sweater which keeps getting more and more enormous— somewhere along the line Bossuet picked up Joly’s knitting and Joly picked up Bossuet’s, and the forlorn, misshapen sweater bits all became part of one huge pullover. Bossuet doesn’t understand. He thought he was making a blanket.

Musichetta gives the side-eye to these shenanigans. She crochets.
