Hozier’s comment section is everything I wanted it to be
Good news the vine board in our room now says “oh my god, they were roommates!”
Kate said “can I use you as a pillow?” and I said “not if I use you first” and we both leaned in at the same time and ended up headbutting

just had the thought “Ben Fankhauser should be in Spring Awakening” forgetting he was responsible for getting me into Spring Awakening in the first place
Kate pulled up a video and was like “you’re going to cry” and I said yeah probably not and she was like “no stay tuned, I know you” and a gorgeous cello part started and I didn’t cry but I was like “oh” and she looked triumphant
Me: Hozier’s tribute to protest musicians and contemplation of his own ability and responsibility as an artist to fight for justice in “Nina Cried Power” is made much more powerful when you remember that he spent the last two years fighting for housing, the right to abortion, and acknowledgment/restitution for the crimes of the Catholic Church in Ireland while we were all joking about him hiding out in a bog.
